Railroad Retirement Board Presentation

The next meeting of the CRSA will be on Tuesday, March 6th at Noon in the Galleria Room (Southwest corner) of the Great Hall in Chicago Union Station.

Our host for the meeting and luncheon will be Amtrak and we are pleased to again have Jerome Kever, Management Member of the Railroad Retirement Board and Joseph Waechter, Mr. Kever's Assistant as our special guests. They will provide an update of events related to railroad retirement and will gladly answer any questions you may have.

If you are considering retirement or would like to know more about your retirement benefits, Mr. Waechter has again offered to work up an estimate of benefits.

He asked that you supply him with your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Spouses Date of Birth, Anticipated Retirement Date, your Beginning and Ending Date of Military Service, your 2006 earnings and estimated 2007 earnings. He will prepare an estimate of benefits and send it to you.

He has asked that you DO NOT email your social security number to him but, instead, give it to him over the phone.  The remaining information may be sent via email.

Mr. Waechter's email address is: joseph.waechter@rrb.gov

His phone number is: 312-751-4910

We hope as many members will take advantage of this opportunity and show their support of the organization by attending.

Click here to go to a map to CUS. Parking is available in a lot just south of the station on Jackson. Also, Metra's Milwaukee and Burlington lines go right into Union Station. Click here to go to Metra's web site for schedule information.

Feel free to forward this message to other colleagues in your organization who may be interested in attending.

Members who have not remitted their 2007 membership dues are asked to do so ASAP.

We encourage all members to attend this informative meeting and we ask that you let us know if you plan to attend by no later than Noon, Monday, March 6th, in order to make the proper luncheon and seating arrangements by clicking here to send us an email and place "attend" in the subject line. If more than one person will be attending place the number of attendees i.e. "Attend 3"

As hard as we try to keep up with all the people changes, we don't get them all.  If you know someone who has changed jobs or email addresses, please pass this on to them.

Your cooperation will help us ensure an enjoyable Event.
